Dual Screen Laptop from Lenovo Thinkpad series to be release in Jan 2009

Lenovo plans to release the world first laptop that comes with a dual screen capabilities.early January next year as reported by computerworld.com. News of the new w700ds was supposed to be released on early January next year, however  details was leaked to the web community after the product page of the w700 series when online early. 

 

The Thinkpad W700ds from Lenovo’s W series which Lenovo described as “ultimate mobile workstation”, comes with the standard 17″ WUXGA TFT LCD like the other W700 series with the addition of a 10.6″ LCD.

This addition second screen is ideal for photographers, graphic artist with the ability to expand their mobility workspace to match their dual screen desktop setup.

In addition, the W700ds boost the same features of the W700 series such as a 120cm x 80 cm Wacom® palm-rest digitizer which work like an integrated graphic board, ideal for digital content creation, configurable to map to entire screen or user-defined area. It also come with a integrated color calibration to produce a greater color accuracy, perfect for digital photographers.

With its Graphical and Processing capabilities, this could be the next ideal mobility solution for digital artist and designer. eWeek  which seem to have their hands on a W700ds and have posted photographs of it running a photoshop in dual screen mode.
