SOYA! 09
No Gundam cosplay for camera takers, no cosplay workshops to teach newcomers. But that does not mean there is no attraction in Start Of Year Again 09, which unfortunately clashes with Cosplay Challenge.

Organised by Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Japanese Tsubasa Club, SOYA! 09 is one of the only few fan-based costume play event on the calendar. With an auditorium, proper equipments, and zero dollar entrance fee, it is easy to see why the 2 year old event attracted a significantly larger crowd this year.
With me lacking a video recording device, single digit amount of contestants for both individual and group cosplay competitions (I heard alot pulled out in the last minute), and looking at Weiβ Schwarz instead of sitting in auditorium, I cannot do much writeup. Instead I’ll put up a gallery of photos I took during the event
