Who we are?
NP Computer club is one of the oldest and most established CCA in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
It has been around since the polytechnic was founded in 1963 and has close affiliation with School Of Engineering; Electronics and Computer Engineering Division.
The aim of NP Computer Club is to impart computer knowledge in diverse fields like Hardware (PC DIY, overclocking, troubleshooting), Software (Blogging, hosting, setting up of websites, photoshop), Networking (Configuring and setting up of network, security) and more recently games development.
Who we are not
NP Computer club membership is made up of students from different faculty but recently the Computer Club has been stereotyped as CCA for nerdy geeks wearing thick glasses. Read on to find out what you are really missing out…
What do we do?
NP Computer club was establish with the mission set out by our predecessors of imparting computer knowledge to members but welcomes members who has no prior knowledge with open arms. The Computer Club is happy to have them aboard as we are constantly seeking people with diverse talents who are able to take on club support roles like quartermaster, accounting, public relations and knowledge sharing.
Besides sharing and imparting computer knowledge, NP Computer Club also organises member interaction session like outings and team bonding activities. In addition to member interaction session, we also organise consultation sessions weeks prior to common test or exams for those who are in the same course and are seeking help for their school work.
External organisation tie-up
In recent years, NP Computer club has various tie up with external organisations like; Seagate Technologies, PC magazine Singapore, IGDA SSC (International Games Developer Association, Singapore Student Chapter) and more recently AsusTek (commonly known as Asus) to advance the knowledge of members by engaging industry experts to speak on the latest technologies available in the market.
Who are eligible for club membership
Open to all existing Ngee Ann Polytechnic Students regardless of faculty, course of study and year in study.
(I know it is obvious who can join, but it is for the benefit of our overseas reader)

Hi!
I am interested in joining. I hope that you can furnish me wif more information before I drop in my application.
1-What are the meeting time?
2-Where will the meetings usually be held?
Anyways, nice site! =D
Hello David,
Thanks for dropping a message here…
The official meeting time is from 6pm-8pm every Thursday but there are some members who will stay back for awhile for a short gaming session.
The meeting place varies every meeting therefore it is important that you check your email a few days prior to the meeting itself.
If you have any more enquiries, feel free to ask!
Hi seniors,
I just received the “first session” email from the club, and, I am afraid that I couldn’t make it there as I am having lessons at that time. I am really keen to join the club, but is there any other way out?
Ken,
NSS Year 1
Hi,
Thanks for posting!
Do you usually end late on Thursday? If no, then it is perfectly alright to miss first meetings. But if you happen to have regular late lessons on Thursday, my recommendation would be to come down for our events.
If you have further enquiry regarding CCA attendance, CCA points or any other topic specific questions, you can direct them to the Computer Club email.
As for other general enquiry, you can post them here!
