The Game Expo 2009
TGX 09 Mascot
Cosplayers, photographers, computer enthusiastic and gamers, both professional and casual, flocked to The Game Expo, which take place for the first time in Singapore. 3 major gaming events, namely the World Cyber Games Singapore National Championship, Asian Championship and the Compaq AMD Pro-gaming League, are hosted within the the expo itself. The organisers, co-organising with Singapore Cosplay Club and Animax, also hosted mini cosplay competitions as a pre-event for the upcoming Cosfest.
Shana Poster
Gaming competition are the main highlights of TGX09, taking place almost everywhere in the entire hall. At least 3 DotA matches, all from different competitions, can be ongoing at the same time slot, making some spectators rushing from one game to another hoping to catch the best scenes. The most memorable DotA moments got to be the last minutes of Day 1 Final Match: XtC vs Axis. Watch it to believe it.
Suteki Da Ne
One of the performance slotted in-between gaming competitions in Day 2 is a musical performance by SWS Youth Winds. Among the pieces performed by the Youth Winds are Theme song from Naturo, Final Fantasy Extravaganza, and Suteki Da Ne, along with a vocal. (video compilation). Only 2 cosplay competitions are open: best Shana look-alike and best cosplayer. Apart from the Shana competition, there are only 2 other cosplay performance on stage. This pretty much explains the cosplay scale for TGX 09.
